Reviewed by - Grade: The original score to this film was composed by Alex North.
However, instead of seeing his work come to life in the theater,
classical pieces were used to accompany the film. The classical
pieces work extremely well with this movie, and leave memorable
images on us all. The song Discovery used during the throwing of
the bone by the apes is an image forever engrained in film
history. Though the pieces work well with the film, some areas of
this version of the score do not do too well on their own. All in
all, really dark classical music, accompanied by the light dances
of the Blue Danube.
